I have been taking some trips down memory road these last couple weeks and it’s really made me reflect on my body and how I feel about it. Before I shot this swimsuit photoshoot I was nervous and somewhat annoyed…why was I even considering shooting swim for the love. I don’t look anything like a typical swimsuit model… But I did it and tried to own it as much as I could…and then I got the images back and was upset for doubting myself. I mean, we really are our worst critic! This is me. And more than anything, I am so blessed for this beautiful body I have. It’s funny because I’m not a size 0, nor will I ever be, but I feel so strong and confident in swimwear these days because I am proud of what my body IS! I think I am just as proud of my body now as I was when I was carrying both my babies! It’s incredible! Really, these bodies that grow our children and then run miles and climb ropes and swing on bars. They really are incredible! We need to celebrate what are bodies ARE, not what we hope they will become. It’s important to strive to be better but we cannot better ourselves if we don’t first love who we are now! That is why I want all of you to have a chance to win a beautiful Albion Fit swimsuit of your own! I want you to rock that beautiful body you have and embrace your unique features.

I will be giving away ONE swimsuit every month this summer from Albion Fit, and each giveaway will be focused on loving our bodies and embracing them!

All you have to do is

1. follow ALBIONFIT on INSTAGRAM

2. follow SIMPLYSADIEJANE on INSTAGRAM

3. Comment below and tell me your favorite feature that you love about your body. (and yes, this time I want it to be something physical)

Embrace your beauty!

GOOD LUCK!
giveaway will end 5/8/15

An Albionfit swimsuit…..dreamy!! I would have to say that I am falling in love with my butt and legs for the first time. I have been working hard the last 16 weeks to build my body back in to health. I am finally seeing a difference. It’s taking awhile but I’m headed in the direction I want to go…strong and healthy. 😉 muah!

This is incredible. Thank you so much for your kindness and for the inspiration you’re giving so many! I love my height. I’m 6’1 and 17, and I’ll just admit that I t has taken me an unbelievably long time to be at peace with and appreciate my stature, but I’m slowly getting there. I love that it differentiates me from others, and I love the things I’m able to do because of my height, despite snarky comments from others!

I love my hair! It’s big and curly and I wouldn’t change it. We often think the grass is greener on the other side but I think that if we were on the other side we’d still think that. I don’t wish for straight hair, I’m thankful for the hair God has given me.

As I think about my pregnant body right now, I find it easier to think of my favorite physical feature about my body. I look down at my growing belly and cannot help but think about how grateful I am for that part of my body right now. It is stretching to make a home for my little girl right now and I can’t be any more proud of that fact.

I have been eyeing the Albion swimsuits for so long and would love, love, love to win one. No matter how much I have tried to improve my body for both physical and health reasons I have always loved my lips. They are the one thing that I have never wanted to change. I love my smile and my lips are the gateway to the words people hear from me. I hope it is always love and kindness.

I am Obsessed with Albion swim suits because they are so modest yet the most beautiful suits around. But, being the nursing student I am.. Am not able to afford them! So, I thought this would be the best way:)

I am so inspired by you as I have come along way with not being in love with my body. You have constantly given me strength and remembering how amazing our bodies are and how precious they are. the thing I love most about my body is the curves God has blessed me with. I love that I have a body that isn’t the typical perfectly skinny shape, but I love the way I look in work out clothes and also my favorite jeans. A year and a half ago I was diagnostic with Multiple Sclerosis as a 20 year old… Which if you don’t know is very young for this disease to take on. To be honest when I was first diagnosed I hated myself and my body. I never felt good until my doctor told me how important exercise and diet is! I took it to heart and two years later I’m down about 20 pounds and am not able to feel my legs! It’s amazing:)

Thank you Sadie for always giving me hope and lots of great work out ideas!! You’re an inspiration to all women!! Whoever gets this amazing giveaway is truly lucky because I know they will feel beautiful no matter what shape or size they are!

The thing I love about my body is the thing that I have hated the most for years. That lower belly left from 3 pregnancies. I’ve loathed it, tried to work it out, tried to stretch it to see how it would look if it were flat again… As with most things, the beauty lies within. And in this case, outside in my beautiful 3 children. God made me to carry these gorgeous creatures and gosh darn it, I’m going to show that tummy like a trophie! It’s my battle wounds from my greatest accomplishment! Who can hate that?!

What a lovely photoshoot!! The color scheme of that suit is great. About my body… My shoulders and upper arms are the winner. I totally have had buff arms since a I was a kid (I get them from my mom) I used to be self conscious but now I love them! Regardless of their appearance, they provide me with strength.

I have always been so critical of my body until about a year ago. I lost 23 lbs in two months and expected to love myself, but unfortunately I still looked in the mirror and felt the same way I did before. I have since realized that it is about loving every part of yourself at every stage in life. Overall, I guess my favorite part of me is my shape. Even though I’m not skinny per say…I love my proportions.

With my daughters first birthday just around the corner I have been extremely hard on myself lately for not losing the “baby weight” or any weight for that matter, in the past year. I am still breastfeeding, which like many others I thought would help me ‘melt off’ the extra pounds, but instead I have had an insane appetite to match my daughters, and due to working night shift as a patient care tech, I have very limited energy. With all that said, I am starting to truly appreciate this female body that housed and delivered a human being, thick thighs, wide hips, strong arms, tired back, soft stomach and all!

Changing paces and keeping up with whatever I push it to do, feeling my kiddos’ when they come rest for a minute after playing, racing when I’m in my husband’s arms, creating the only real connection between my unborn and the outside world while we listen for it as the only major sign of life before an ultrasound. I have put in the work and have seen results that I feel proud of. My legs aren’t perfect but I don’t want them to be. I have grown to be fond of my unique-ness! It actually took me awhile to think of this…i am continually discontent with what God has given me :/ Probably my legs will when out. It’s the thing I think about changing the least. Also, I know we don’t know each other, but I found you on IG through a friend and want to say I’m encouraged by your fitness journey. I have 3 littles and I find it continually hard (although important) to workout and take care of myself. Way to go!

I’ve always loved Albion Fit’s modest, yet still gorgeous suits. My favorite physical thing about me is kind of hard for me to decide on haha… I’m not one who normally “fishes” for compliments, but I do like when people say that I’m at least not ugly 😉 But something I like about myself is my eyes. I think they look good combined with my thick, long eyelashes. One of my friends the other day said that my eyes were so cool (blue and green and gray) & that they looked like the earth haha. So I guess that is something I like

I just had my second child a little over a month ago. I had always been skinny. I was one of those people who never had to work out or eat healthy to stay skinny. But then I had my first daughter two years ago and my body changed drastically. I thought it would bounce back but it never did. Honestly I hated the way I looked bc I had never seen myself this way before. Then I became pregnant with my second child and I did this pregnancy so very different. I worked out, I ate healthy, and learned to love my ever changing body, especially my stretch marks. After hard work I Now weigh less than when I became pregnant but those stretch marks will always be there to remind me how grateful I am for this body and the two beautiful daughters I have because of it.

So my body now, post-baby, is a reminder to me that I nurtured my tiny humans for ten months in my body and now have the pleasure of shaping their personalities and loving them unconditionally. Four children three years and younger (I have twins) is crazy! But I’ve grown to love the madness and my “new” body because it brought me the best things that have ever happened to me! Well, to be honest I’ve struggled with this. We just completed our first AirForce tour in Alaksa and we had two c-section babies while we were there. We just moved to Florida and this morning I learned about needing a surgery that would add three scars to the ones I already have. While talking to the doctors I jokingly asked if we could add a fourth scar, just to make it symmetrical! He said no, but I appreciate the scars anyways. So that’s my favorite part right now. My baby mama scars. They’re deep, they hurt, there’s about to be more. But worth it. So totally worth it.

I’ve sat at my computer for 10 minutes trying to think of something I like about myself physically. Yet, when I asked my five year old what he likes about himself, the list goes on and on. At what point do we start comparing ourselves to others/media and criticizing everything about ourselves… to the point where it’s near impossible to think of something positive?! Yikes, it’s scary! Definitely something I need to work on. Our bodies truly are miraculous and we should give ourselves more credit. One thing I did think of was my teeth/smile!

What I love most about my body is the fact that it allowed me to carry 6 beautiful children. I love every freckle, wrinkle and laugh line because they are my memories. Freckles for days spent in the sun. Wrinkles in my forehead for all the nights I’ve spent squinting through the crib slats and laugh lines for all the many smiles and late night giggles!

These suits look amazing – thank you for the introduction to them! I’m just going to go ahead and be honest and say that right now it feels like there’s nothing I like about my body, it’s sad but something I am currently struggling with. A very tough few months in life has led me to make a lot of bad dietary choices (it turns out eating my feelings isn’t a good thing?! ;)), given me plenty of excuses to not be getting my butt in gear for exercise, and left me feeling worn out and terrible about myself. But, I know this will pass with some hard work, and I am determined to fix it :)

At first I wasn’t sure what my favorite part of my body is – and I got really annoyed because I keep telling myself I don’t need a “perfect” body. After silently scolding myself for being to harsh I realized my arms are my favorite part of my body. I’ve been working out more regularly and have seen them tone up much more quickly than the rest of my body.

Honestly, right now I’m having severe body issues. I’m at a weight that I’ve never seen in my life and have worked hard all my life to stay below. However…I am absolutely in love with this growing baby inside of me and for that reason I am in LOVE with my belly! It is a belly that I was told I would never have due to infertility issues. But, thanks to the blessing of IVF, it is a belly that has carried and lost babies, but is fighting to hold on to this one little dude for 5 more weeks! I’m grateful to have this opportunity to be a mom and for that I will put body issues aside and enjoy this miracle I was given. That said, I would love a suit that I feel good in for the summer spent with my guy & Albion suits are just amazing!

From gaining weight with each pregnancy, to breastfeeding each of my kids for at least a year.. Girl, my body really changed and adapted again.. What a journey! So, having said all that.. It’s hard to choose only one feature of my body because our bodies are perfectly beautiful. But, since I have to pick only one, I will say I love my legs. They are lean and muscular. Oh, and my favorite feature about my body are my freckles. Growing up I was so insecure about them because they made me different and everyone seemed to always point them out…. But now I embrace my uniqueness. How boring would it be if we all looked the same? =P

My favorite thing about my body is my belly. I don’t have a six pack or anything. But I love how it’s so amazing at everything it does. Held my sweet babe for 9 months, digests and processes everything, gives me strength and is the core of my body. ❤️

Its taken me a long time to get to this point.. by this point I mean starting to love my body. I have always been very insecure and thought I didn’t have anything great about my body. After 2 kids and being lots of different shapes and sizes.. I am finally realizing how amazing my body is and how much it can do and handle, not to mention how much it can recover from. I would have to say right now my favorite part of my body is my belly, it has lots of stretch marks and still has some extra skin and flab from baby #2, but it has carried both my beautiful-amazing babies and it is starting to get some abs, which I didn’t know was possible after 2 c-sections and a lot of self doubt. I am starting to love all that my body can do and accomplish!! This is an amazing thing to embrace our bodies and their uniqueness, I think every lovely lady out their should embrace their bodies and love themselves, they are all amazing!!! Thanks for doing this!!

I love my feet! They allow me to do long runs, toe cuddle in bed, dance around with the kidlings and so so so much more.

This is so inspiring! It’s so easy to be critical of our bodies (especially around swimsuit season) but this post reminded me how grateful I am for my body and all that it is capable of! After having a child your body is NOT the same… But even though my stomach is not as flat or smooth as it used to be, I’m grateful for my belly, even though it has stretch marks, it’s a reminder of all that I overcame and what is really important in life! Love Albion swimsuits and how modest and flattering they are!! Would love to win a high waisted swim suit!!

I would have to say I love my legs. I may be short, (5’3ish :)) but I’ve always felt like they’ve been defined and well proportioned. Not only that but they carry me everywhere I need to! As well as carry my 2 year old and now my new babe in my belly. :) gotta love our bodies!

I would have to say the thing I love most about my body would be my hair, eyes, hands and shoulders. I guess that’s more then one but those things I love. My hazel eyes are a perfect mix of my mom and dads green and brown eyes. I’m a cosmetologist so I love hair of course :) I have long fingers like my grandfather and freckles on my shoulders from all the summers I spent at my grandparents.

I love Albion! Their swimsuits are gorgeous! I am currently pregnant, and was trying to lose weight before I got pregnant and didn’t succeed as well as I wanted to – so right now this is something that’s a huge struggle for me. This is my second pregnancy, and I so badly wanted to be in better shape this time around (I gained 70lbs the first time). Even though I hope I don’t get more this time, I actually do love the stretchmarks on my belly that I have from my first pregnancy – they’re proof that I’ve been through something really tough and really incredible and come out stronger.

Thanks for the opportunity! Your pictures look great! You are my inspiration as I’m trying to get back into shape after having my first child. My favorite part of my body would have to be my legs. No matter how much weight I gain or how out of shape I am.. I know I can count on them!

The thing I love most about my body is my torso. I have a naturally small torso and when I gain weight, it goes to my butt/thighs. I’m lucky to have a small stomach and some nice curves!

I follow both accounts on Instagram and my favorite feature that I love about my body is my legs because I play soccer so they enable me to do what I love.

I love these swimsuits and I think you look fabulous! I agree, we need to love our bodies! My favorite physical feature is my long legs. I used to hate them because it made shopping for pants a nightmare but I have learned to embrace them.
